“Turns out that Crocker was one of the Big Four who built the Pacific Railroad. A wonderful B&B with lovely owners. The breakfast was amazing and we got accommodated for all our special food needs, they even got gluten-free bread. No questions asked, not a problem. That’s great service.
We stayed in the Canton Cottage which is a lovely bedroom, bathroom and small sitting room. Very quiet and peaceful away from the main house. Having said that, the main house is very appealing and I might want to stay there sometime also. In one of the bedrooms, Ulysses S. Grant once slept.
There is a very nice pool (once the first pool built in Sonoma County) and birds are singing. I saw deer look at me in the morning and my husband saw a fox.
Off the beaten track for a true rejuvenation trip in nature.”
