Sonoma County has hundreds of wineries open to the public. Many will pour you a taste of their current releases, around five or nine different wines, without a charge. Some will ask for 5 or ten dollars to taste. Others will only charge to taste older vintage or limited production wines, which they typically refund if you buy a bottle of anything. Some wineries have food or a place to picnic, and many have vineyards you can tour. Most of the tasting rooms in Healdsburg are storefronts you can walk between while exploring other shops and galleries.
